Cyprus Tax Department system temporarily offline due to update
The Cyprus Tax Department (Τμήμα Φορολογίας) announced that its electronic systems will be temporarily unavailable today, October 16, 2025, from 15:00 to 19:00. The reason is a scheduled upgrade of the agency’s information infrastructure.
During this period, users will not be able to access several key services, including the tax declaration portal, the TAXISnet system, the Intrastat platform, and the section on the government portal gov.cy intended for tax payments and debt checks.
The official statement emphasizes that the downtime is temporary and technical in nature, and all work is aimed at improving the performance and security of electronic services. Citizens and companies are advised not to attempt to access the system during the update to avoid possible errors when transmitting data.
After the work is completed, all functions will be restored and the systems will resume normal operation. The Tax Department apologized for any inconvenience and reminded that deadlines for tax payments and declarations remain unchanged.
