Weak high pressure will continue to affect Cyprus until Friday: weather on February 7th
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Wednesday, February 7th, the region will still be affected by weak high pressure, and from Friday, weak low pressure is expected.
Today, in the first half of the day after the dispersal of thin fog and low clouds, variable cloudiness is expected, with possible light short-term rain, especially in the west and north.
According to the meteorological forecast, during the day, the air temperature will reach up to 20°C in inland areas, as well as in the southeast and east coasts, up to 18°C on the southwest, west, and north coasts, and up to 13°C in mountainous areas.
By evening, variable cloudiness will persist, and later in the morning hours, the formation of local light fog is expected, especially inland and in the east.
The air temperature will drop to about 7°C in inland areas, to 9°C on the southeast coast, to 11°C on the rest of the coast, and to 4°C in mountainous areas.
It is also noted that the snow cover height in the Troodos Mountains at the time of the bulletin release was 13 cm.
It is expected that by Friday, the temperature will gradually decrease slightly, and on Saturday, it will remain at the same level, continuing to fluctuate above the seasonal average climate values.
