SOS for Rooney: concern in Larnaca for a small pig — seen limping and frightened

In Larnaca, people are discussing the condition of Rooney — a small pig who in recent months has unexpectedly become a “mascot” for morning walks near the Salt Lake. She is often spotted along the nature trail, where flamingos were previously considered the main symbol.
The cause for concern was a post by a local resident: according to him, in the morning Rooney looked exhausted and scared, moved with difficulty, was clearly limping and “moaning.” It is also claimed that the pig was offered carrots but did not eat them, and that her appearance shows severe thinness — “bones are visible.” The author of the post called on people not to remain indifferent and to help the animal.
