To remind, 62-year-old Ukrainian Vitaliy Shostak was found dead in his apartment in Limassol on December 27. According to preliminary information, he had argued with his 63-year-old wife before his death. The man died from a knife wound to the chest. The suspect insists that the deceased inflicted the wound on himself.
The pathologist found no signs of a struggle during the autopsy.
At the end of December, the woman was taken into custody for further investigation. The decision expired last Sunday.
The police informed the court that they are investigating a case of intentional murder and requested an extension of the suspect’s detention for another four days.
