Temperature Drops to 36°C, with Rain in the Mountains: Weather in Cyprus on August 22
According to the Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, August 22, the region will be influenced by seasonal low pressure.
In the morning, temporarily increased cloud cover is expected. In the afternoon, isolated, mostly light showers are forecasted for the mountains and the eastern part of the island.
The meteorological service predicts that today's temperatures will reach 36°C in inland areas, 32°C on the western coast, 34°C on other coasts, and around 28°C in the mountainous regions.
By evening, the weather will remain mostly clear, though increased cloudiness will be observed in the west.
Overnight, temperatures are expected to drop to 24°C on the western coast, 25°C in inland areas and on the rest of the coast, and down to 17°C in the mountains.
In the coming days, the weather is expected to stay mostly clear, with showers in the mountains and possibly in inland areas.
By Sunday, temperatures are expected to gradually rise again, approaching the seasonal average.
