Cyprus tourism: bookings for 2026 are already showing encouraging signs
The first data on bookings for 2026 are being assessed as very positive. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Cyprus, noting that interest in the destination remains strong, and in a number of key markets demand is even exceeding expectations.
According to the ministry, tour operators and airlines are already recording early bookings, which is considered an important indicator of confidence in the destination. Cyprus is being booked especially actively by tourists from countries traditionally important for the island, as well as from markets that showed growth in 2024–2025.
The ministry emphasizes that early interest in 2026 creates a basis for a stable tourist season and makes it possible to plan the expansion of air connections, hotel capacity and services. Final forecasts will be formed closer to summer, however current signals are described as “inspiring”.
