An explosive device went off at the office of a real estate agency in Limassol. The scene is cordoned off by the police.

According to law enforcement agencies, the explosion occurred early Thursday morning at the entrance of the real estate agency building located in the Ayios Ioannis area.

Police arrived at the scene and sealed off the area. After examining the scene, it was determined by a bomb disposal expert that the explosion was caused by the detonation of a homemade high-powered explosive device.

As a result of the explosion, the entrance to the building and interior rooms were damaged. Investigators are reviewing footage from security cameras.

At the moment, it is known that the real estate agency where the bomb detonated belongs to a 39-year-old Cypriot-Greek.
