Increased traffic at Larnaca and Paphos airports during the Christmas holidays
Cyprus is experiencing increased traffic at Larnaca and Paphos airports during the Christmas holiday period. On December 26, 65 international arrivals and 38 departures were scheduled at Larnaca Airport, while Paphos Airport recorded 14 arrivals and 13 departures.
During the first 11 months of 2025, passenger traffic has already exceeded the total figures for 2024. According to Hermes Airports, from January to November 2025, 9,365,329 passengers passed through Larnaca Airport and 3,640,954 through Paphos Airport. For the whole of 2024, passenger numbers were 8,661,354 for Larnaca and 3,633,990 for Paphos.
Due to the increased passenger flow during the holiday period, limited parking availability has been observed at Larnaca Airport. This year, an additional 500 parking spaces were added, bringing total capacity to 3,500 spaces.
The operating company urges passengers to book parking spaces in advance via the Hermes Airports website to guarantee availability. According to the company, online reservations secure a designated parking spot, and customers who have booked in advance will be provided with the appropriate service conditions.
