Cyprus to Celebrate 16 Public Holidays in 2025: Official Holiday Schedule
In 2025, Cyprus will observe 16 public holidays. Three of these will be followed by long three-day weekends, while two will feature four-day weekends. Here is the public holiday schedule for Cyprus in 2025.
The long weekends in 2025 will fall on Clean Monday and Kataklysmos. The full holiday calendar for Cyprus is as follows:
According to the published work calendar, residents of Cyprus will have two days off in January and March, five days off in April (including four days for Easter), one day off in May, June, and August, and two days off in October and December.
For Christmas, island residents will have two days off—December 25 and 26. New Year’s Day on January 1 and Epiphany on January 6 will also be official public holidays.
Clean Monday will be observed on Monday, March 3; Kataklysmos on June 9; and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on Friday, August 15.
Annunciation will fall on March 25, and Easter Sunday will be celebrated on April 20.
