New Lifeguard Towers to Be Installed on Paphos Beaches in 2025
In 2025, the beaches of Paphos will see the addition of new lifeguard towers, which are set to be installed at Venus Beach and Alexander Beach.
The announcement was made by Evkleidis Ambrosiadis, chairman of the Paphos Municipality Beach Committee, during an interview with the Cyprus News Agency.
Ambrosiadis noted that, by the end of this year’s summer season, the municipality had procured additional umbrellas and sun loungers for the 14 beaches under its jurisdiction, spanning a total of 11 kilometers. Plans to further upgrade the beaches will continue into 2025.
As part of these efforts, the municipality is also planning to purchase an electric vehicle next year to improve the cleaning of pedestrian walkways along the beachfront areas.
The chairman reminded the public that Paphos Municipality directly manages only two organized swimming areas: SODAP Beach and the Municipal Baths Beach, commonly known as "Ta Bania." The remaining 12 beaches are leased to private operators.
