Parking for Taxis to Be Restricted at Cyprus Airports
Starting August 26, taxi parking at Cyprus airports will be restricted. This measure is being introduced as part of enhanced security protocols.
- From August 26, taxis will only be allowed to park in designated taxi stands at the airports, according to a statement from the Licensing Authority.
This decision comes in response to an announcement from the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works regarding new regulations at the airports.
Parking spaces in front of the terminals will be reserved exclusively for picking up and dropping off passengers, with a maximum allowed time of one minute.
Additionally, the Licensing Authority has announced that any violations of the airport’s urban area usage policies will result in an immediate seven-day suspension of entry rights for the offenders. This applies to drivers and/or owners of all types of taxis.
For repeated violations, the suspension period will be extended by an additional seven days, up to a maximum of thirty days, after which entry rights will be permanently revoked.
