41 Kilograms of Drugs Seized at Larnaca Airport
A significant quantity of drugs was seized at Larnaca Airport. 41 kilograms of marijuana were discovered directly in the luggage of two young women.
According to the police press office, the operation was conducted in collaboration between the police and customs authorities to identify individuals smuggling drugs into the Republic of Cyprus. Two suspicious women, aged 20 and 22 years old, arriving from abroad, were stopped for additional screening.
During the search, approximately 41 kg of marijuana was found in their luggage. Both women were arrested and taken into custody. The investigation into this case is being conducted by the Larnaca Police Anti-Drug Unit.
