Fraudster Wanted Across Europe Arrested at Larnaca Airport
A fraudster has been detained at Larnaca Airport. The man was sought for multiple crimes in Germany and other European countries.
According to the police press release, the 41-year-old man arrived at Larnaca Airport yesterday around noon on a flight from a third country.
Subsequent checks revealed that the passenger was wanted based on a European arrest warrant issued by German authorities. He is suspected of financial fraud crimes committed in Germany and other European countries between 2016 and 2023.
The 41-year-old man was arrested under the European arrest warrant and taken into custody. Today, he is expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court to initiate the extradition process to Germany.
