Large-scale fire and rescue drills were held at Larnaca Airport

Scheduled fire and rescue drills took place at Larnaca Airport to practice the actions of services in the event of an aircraft fire. Such training is conducted regularly so that the fire teams of Larnaca and Paphos airports maintain a high level of preparedness for emergency situations.
The exercises were held on special simulators — full-size models of airplanes and helicopters that allow the simulation of real aviation incidents. Firefighters practiced coordinated teamwork, rapid response, and safe extinguishing methods in high-risk conditions.
Organizers emphasize that such training is critically important for maintaining aviation safety and ensuring that personnel are ready to act effectively in an emergency.
