Woman Arrested at Larnaca Airport with Two Kilograms of Cocaine
Drug Enforcement Administration (YKAN) officers, in collaboration with Customs officials, detained a woman at Larnaca Airport who was carrying two kilograms of cocaine. The passenger had arrived from abroad with the drugs.
According to a statement from the police press office, the operation took place early this morning.
During a search of the 58-year-old woman, who had arrived on an international flight, authorities discovered a nylon bag wrapped in black tape containing a white powder in her shoulder bag. The substance was identified as cocaine, with a total weight of 2 kilograms and 116 grams.
The woman has been arrested and is currently in custody as the investigation continues.
