Emergency Landing of Plane with Unreleased Landing Gear at Istanbul Airport
At Istanbul Airport, a cargo Boeing 767 belonging to the transportation company FedEx made an emergency landing with its front landing gear not deployed.
According to the specialized portal HavaSosyalMedya, the cargo liner was operating a flight from Paris to Istanbul. Before landing, the front landing gear of the aircraft did not deploy. Pilots initially flew over the runway, and after circling, they decided to land the aircraft without the landing gear.
Judging from video footage of the incident, the pilots managed to land the aircraft on its fuselage. Fortunately, a fire was avoided after the emergency landing, and no injuries were reported as a result of the aviation incident.
