The Paphos Regional Tourism Board is bringing back free guided tours to the Akamas communities for the next two months. This initiative is part of a broader effort to highlight the area’s unique attractions and increase visitor numbers.

The tours are part of the support measures for Akamas communities announced by the President of the Republic of Cyprus and are funded by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.

According to ETAP, tours will take place every Saturday throughout May and June. They’ll depart at 9:15 a.m. from the bus stops at the Kato Paphos Archaeological Park, with transport provided to and from the sites.

The route takes visitors along the coastline and through the Pegeia Forest, with the first stop in the village of Arodes. There, participants will visit the Akamas Geology and Paleontology Information Centre and enjoy a short break in the village square.

Next up is the village of Ineia, where visitors can explore the Turtle Museum. The tour then continues to the village of Drouseia for a visit to the Akamas Rural Life and Traditions Information Centre.

Around midday, the group will head to the nearby village of Kathikas to explore the Akamas Regional Centre for Bird and Flora Research. Participants will also have free time to enjoy lunch at a local taverna or café, or simply wander through the village at their own pace.

The return journey to Paphos is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
