Another fatal road accident occurred in Cyprus. In a horrific crash in Larnaca, a 24-year-old motorcyclist died.
According to the police press service, the accident happened yesterday evening around 20:00 on Lisi Sadama Avenue. Marios Roditis, a 24-year-old from Larnaca, was riding a motorcycle with a large engine capacity and collided with the car of a 62-year-old Cypriot-Greek.
As a result of the collision, the motorcycle driver sustained injuries incompatible with life. He was taken to the hospital in Larnaca, where doctors confirmed his death. Apparently, the deceased biker was riding at high speed without a helmet.
Three out of four car passengers were also injured in the accident. They were also hospitalized at Larnaca Hospital and discharged after receiving first aid.
According to the preliminary examination of the accident scene, it is known that the accident occurred due to the fault of the car driver, who attempted to make a U-turn without yielding to the motorcyclist. The driver underwent alcohol and drug tests, which showed negative results.
