In a car accident in Larnaca, a 19-year-old guy lost his life
A fatal road accident occurred in Larnaca, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old guy.
According to the police press service, the accident happened late in the evening, around 23:55. The car, driven by a 19-year-old young man, was moving along Archbishop Makarios Avenue in Pervolia. Two 18-year-old girls were also passengers in the car, along with a small child.
Under yet unclear circumstances, the car veered onto the sidewalk, crashed into bushes, and then collided with the wall of a neighboring building, overturning in the process.
As a result of the traffic incident, an 18-year-old girl sitting in the back seat was ejected from the car. The driver, Michalis Theodorou, was trapped inside the car, requiring assistance from the fire department for extrication. Both victims were taken to the Larnaca General Hospital, where the 19-year-old guy succumbed to his injuries.
The two-year-old child was found to have multiple injuries and was hospitalized for surgery. Another passenger escaped with minor injuries and was taken to the Larnaca General Hospital for medical examination.
