Hundreds of Fake Goods Seized in Famagusta
In a coordinated operation in the Famagusta district, Cyprus police seized a significant amount of counterfeit goods, mostly clothing items from "well-known brands."
The raid was carried out by the Anti-Theft and Illegal Gambling Crimes Division, the Cybercrime Police Sub-Unit, and the Customs Department.
The goal of the operation was to combat the illegal trade of goods that violate intellectual property rights.
Police and customs officers searched three locations in Famagusta, where they discovered and confiscated approximately 570 items with clear signs of being counterfeit. The majority of the seized products were clothing.
The confiscated goods have been handed over to the Customs Department for further investigation.
