Olympic Swimming Pool in Geroskipou Set for Restoration
The Olympic swimming pool in Geroskipou is set to undergo restoration, with the project costing an estimated €360,000.
According to the municipality’s press office, the restoration work will include the following:
- Demolition and removal of all metal walls
- Construction of new concrete barriers and a perimeter around the pool
- Restoration of the floor, where water has been stagnant
Additionally, the project will involve installing new linings and various electromechanical systems to restore and enhance the pool’s operations.
A significant portion of the funding for this project will come from a grant provided by the Cyprus Sports Organization (KOA), as stated by the municipality.
