Sharp cold snap in the mountains of Cyprus: snow falls in Troodos

Cyprus is experiencing a noticeable drop in temperatures: in the evening, temperatures in the mountain regions fell sharply, and the first snowflakes began falling in the Troodos range. Residents and eyewitnesses are sharing images showing snow covering roads and vegetation.
According to meteorologists, the cold air mass continues to affect the island’s weather. In the mountains, temperatures have approached zero, and further drops are possible in the coming hours. Drivers planning trips toward Troodos are advised to exercise extra caution due to slippery roads and limited visibility.
Forecasters do not rule out that snowfall in the highlands may continue in the coming days, especially during nighttime hours.
