Car Plunges Off Cliff During Police Chase in Larnaca
A high-speed police chase in Larnaca took a dramatic turn last night when a car crashed off a cliff.
According to the police press office, the incident occurred around 3:30 AM when officers noticed a vehicle moving suspiciously. When they attempted to pull it over, the driver accelerated and tried to flee. During the pursuit, the car lost control, veered off the road, and plunged down a four-meter cliff.
Miraculously, no one was injured. Authorities later identified the two occupants as a 43-year-old and a 45-year-old man. A search of the vehicle uncovered several car batteries, which are believed to have been stolen.
Both suspects were arrested for unlawful possession of stolen property.
