In Larnaca, 42 kilograms of marijuana were seized
A large batch of narcotics was confiscated in Larnaca. In total, 42 kilograms of marijuana were discovered, and two individuals were arrested.
Yesterday, around 17:00, the Anti-Narcotics Unit (YKAN) officers stopped a car for inspection, driven by a 21-year-old resident of Larnaca. During the search of the vehicle, 20 kilograms and 669 grams of marijuana were found.
The narcotics were seized as material evidence, and the driver of the vehicle was arrested.
During further investigation, a search of the detainee's home revealed an additional 21 kilograms and 303 grams of cannabis, which were also seized as material evidence.
Furthermore, as part of the drug possession case investigation, around 17:30, YKAN officers stopped another car for inspection, moving along Larnaca Street, driven by a 57-year-old local resident. During the search inside the car, a syringe with cannabis oil was found. Other material evidence was discovered during a search of his home.
Both men were arrested based on a court order and are currently held in custody.
