In Larnaca, a driver attempting to flee from narcotics police crashed into a bus
In Larnaca, members of the narcotics department initiated a pursuit of a suspicious vehicle. In an attempt to evade the pursuit, the driver collided with a bus and police cars. Upon searching, more than three kilograms of marijuana were found in his possession.
The previous evening, officers of the Narcotics Control Agency stopped a car in the Larnaca area, in which there were a 28-year-old driver and a 40-year-old passenger, both residents of Larnaca.
The driver attempted to flee, resulting in his car crashing into the bus in front, as well as colliding with several police vehicles, before coming to a stop.
During a subsequent search, two nylon packages containing marijuana weighing a total of 3 kilograms and approximately 220 grams were found in the car's trunk. The investigation is ongoing.
