A new emergency department opens at the General Hospital in Larnaca from September 18

The new Atypical and Emergency Cases Department of the Larnaca General Hospital will begin operation on September 18, according to the State Health Services Organization (SHSO).

According to the Organization, the department is being established as part of an action plan and is intended to provide faster and higher-quality care for patients with urgent conditions. The new building is fully equipped with modern medical equipment and specialized wards. The department will be staffed with experienced medical, nursing, and support personnel trained in emergency care for critical cases.

The Organization notes that the entrance to the new department is located on the north side of the old hospital building. Access to the department is through the central entrance of the old building, where a short stop is provided for rapid delivery and reception of emergency cases; the parking area remains the same.
