In Limassol, two men jumped from the fifth floor during a police raid: one of them died
In Limassol, during an immigration service raid, two undocumented immigrants jumped from the fifth floor of a residential building. One man died, and the other is in critical condition in the hospital.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 6:20 in the morning. Immigration officers stormed an apartment on the fifth floor of a residential building after receiving a report that undocumented immigrants were living there.
Preliminary information suggests that when the police entered the apartment, two foreigners attempted to flee. One of them jumped out of the bedroom window, falling onto the balcony of the adjacent apartment and fatally injuring himself.
The second man tried to escape by jumping from the balcony. He also fell onto the balcony one floor below and sustained serious injuries. The injured man was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Forensic experts and criminal investigation service personnel arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation.
