Cyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run in Limassol: Police Search for Driver
A cyclist was struck and killed by a car in Limassol, and the driver fled the scene.
According to the police, the fatal accident occurred around 8:00 AM at the intersection of Esopou and Papaioannou Streets in Ypsonas, a suburb of Limassol.
When officers arrived, they found a deceased man of Asian descent lying on the road. His identity has not yet been determined. Initial reports suggest the man was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a car. After the collision, the driver immediately left the scene.
Police are currently trying to identify the cyclist and are actively searching for the vehicle involved and its driver.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact them by calling the hotline at 1460 or by visiting the nearest police station.
