Car Set on Fire in Limassol Overnight
Firefighters and police were called out in Limassol last night after a car was deliberately set on fire in the village of Paramytha. The vehicle belonged to a 26-year-old man.
According to police reports, the fire was reported around 1:00 AM. At the time, the car was parked and locked in the owner’s courtyard.
Emergency crews from the Kalos Chorio police station and the Limassol fire department quickly responded to the scene.
A preliminary investigation confirmed that the fire was the result of arson, with flammable materials used to start the blaze.
The vehicle, valued at €18,000, was completely destroyed.
Authorities have cordoned off the area, and an investigation is underway.
