In Limassol, coastal road to be closed due to marathon on September 28
Sections of the coastal road in Limassol will be closed to traffic on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 7:00 to 11:00 due to the marathon taking place in the municipality of Amathus in Cyprus.
The program includes three distances: 10 kilometers, five kilometers, and one kilometer.
Traffic will be suspended on two lanes towards Amathus — from the intersection with Kostas Pitsillides Street to Takis Christodoulou Street. Two lanes towards Limassol will also be closed — from the intersection with Takis Christodoulou Street to Ariadnis Street.
The event is organized by the Cyprus Amateur Athletics Federation in cooperation with the Amathus Municipality, with the support of the National Guard and the Cyprus Police.
The Police urged drivers to exercise extra caution and follow the instructions of traffic police and municipal traffic controllers present in the area.
