In Limassol today, 10 new traffic violation detection cameras will be put into operation
In the Limassol province, the photo enforcement system is expanding starting today. Ten new stationary traffic violation detection cameras will be put into operation at three points in the city's road network.
Out of the ten new cameras, four will monitor passing on a red light signal, crossing the white stop line, and exceeding the speed limit at the intersection of Franklin Roosevelt and Omonia avenues.
Four devices will monitor the same violations at the intersection of Nikos Pattichis and Spyros Kyprianou avenues.
Two more cameras will monitor compliance with the speed limit on the Limassol - Kato Polemidion road.
The goal of the traffic light marking system is to reduce the number of fatal and serious road accidents, as well as to increase awareness of road traffic.
