Unfinished Building Destroyed by Fire in Limassol: People Inside Managed to Escape
A large fire broke out last night in an unfinished building in Limassol. Fortunately, the people inside were able to escape before the fire spread and completely destroyed the structure.
According to Andreas Kettis, the spokesperson for the fire department, the blaze started around 10:00 PM on the first floor of the two-story building in the Omonia area. People were inside when the fire started.
Footage shared on social media shows the flames quickly engulfing the entire building. Three fully equipped fire trucks responded to the scene, and firefighters used breathing apparatus and hoses to tackle the blaze. They also conducted a search inside the burning building to check for any potential victims.
As a result, the building was almost entirely destroyed by the fire. The cause of the blaze will be determined through an investigation, which is set to begin today in collaboration with the police.
