Two More Traffic Cameras to Be Activated in Limassol
Two additional traffic enforcement cameras will be up and running in Limassol starting on Tuesday, March 4.
The new cameras are installed at the photocontrolled intersection of Nikosa Kraniidiotis Avenue and Agia Anastasia Street in Polymedia. They will monitor violations such as running red lights, crossing stop lines, and speeding.
"The goal of this system is to reduce the number of serious and fatal road accidents while promoting better awareness of traffic rules among residents," the police stated in their announcement.
With the activation of these new cameras, the installation of all stationary cameras in the city's photomarking system has now been completed.
