FOUR PEOPLE ARE INJURED IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION IN PAPHOS
A road accident occurred in Paphos, resulting in four people being seriously injured. Two married couples from the Czech Republic and Great Britain were hospitalized.
According to the police press service, the accident happened the night before, at about 18:30, on the Paphos - Polis Chrysochous road.
Ambulances arrived at the scene and took all four occupants of the two vehicles to the Paphos General Hospital emergency department. According to the doctor on duty, all four were seriously injured, but their health was not in danger.
The causes of the traffic accident are being investigated by Paphos Traffic.
Paphos Police also reportedly issued 17 fines for traffic violations during traffic checks carried out on Tuesday. During the checks, a 59-year-old man refused to take an alcohol test and was arrested.
Another driver was arrested for speeding: his speedometer showed 101 km/h instead of the permitted 50 km/h.
