A police officer was injured in a mass brawl involving teenagers in Cyprus
A mass brawl between teenagers broke out in one of the hotel centers in Cyprus. As a result of the scuffle, a police officer was injured.
According to the police press service, the unrest occurred on Thursday evening at a hotel in Oroklini. The hotel where the incident took place is a center for accommodating unaccompanied minors.
The fight between two teenagers started around 6:00 p.m., and then other minors were involved in the brawl. As a result of the conflict, a police officer who was in the area overseeing law and order was injured. The injured officer had to call for backup from other police personnel.
The disturbances at the hotel lasted until around 1:00 a.m. on Friday. A total of eight people were arrested - seven aged 17 and one aged 16. Two of those who initiated the fight remain in custody, while the others were questioned and released.
The injured police officer has bruises on the head, but his life and health are not in danger. He has already been discharged after receiving medical treatment.
