Over 8.5 Kilograms of Cannabis Seized in Nicosia and Larnaca
Cyprus police have seized more than 8.5 kilograms of cannabis and thousands of euros in cash, arresting four suspects in the process.

According to the police press office, officers from the National Drug Enforcement Agency (YKAN) conducted inspections of two vehicles and searched two homes in Nicosia and Larnaca yesterday.
The operation led to the discovery of significant quantities of drugs, cash, and other evidence, resulting in the arrests of three men and one woman.
Details of the Seizures:
- A 25-year-old driver was found with 3.228 kilograms of cannabis in his vehicle, along with cash and other incriminating items. A search of his home in Larnaca later uncovered an additional 1.614 kilograms of marijuana.
- A separate vehicle search of a 27-year-old driver revealed three mobile phones and a metal hammer with traces of cannabis.
- While searching the residence of the 27-year-old, officers spotted a 35-year-old man leaving the property with a box. Inside the box, they discovered 3.832 kilograms of cannabis and €16,700 in cash.
- Inside the apartment itself, authorities found an additional 37 grams of cannabis, two metal grinders with drug residue, a half-smoked joint containing an illegal substance, three mobile phones, and a large sum of cash. A 28-year-old woman, who was present during the raid, was also arrested.
All four suspects are expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court today for a remand hearing.
