Man Falls from Third Floor in Nicosia While Trying to Escape Police via Drainage Pipe

A 31-year-old man sustained serious injuries after falling from the third floor while attempting to flee from the police by using a drainage pipe.

According to the police press office, the incident occurred the previous evening around 8:30 PM when authorities received reports of a fight in an apartment building in Nicosia.

Upon arrival, officers discovered three men, aged 31, 27, and 26, in an apartment on the third floor who had assaulted a 34-year-old neighbor.

The officers intervened, rescuing the victim and arresting two of the attackers, aged 27 and 26. However, the third assailant tried to escape through a window using the drainage pipe. Unfortunately, his attempt failed, resulting in him falling and sustaining serious injuries.

The injured man was transported to a general hospital in Nicosia, where he is currently in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

The Central Police Station in Nicosia is continuing its investigation.
