In Nicosia, a car belonging to a 20-year-old woman was set on fire on New Year’s night

In the early hours of the New Year in Nicosia, unknown individuals set fire to a car belonging to a 20-year-old city resident. The fire was reported to the police at around 02:00 — the vehicle was parked right outside the owner’s home.
Police and fire service units were dispatched to the scene, and the area was cordoned off. By the time they arrived, residents of the building had managed to extinguish the fire themselves, but the car sustained serious damage.
Later, specialists carried out an inspection and confirmed that the fire had been set deliberately. The Criminal Investigation Department of Nicosia is conducting the investigation and identifying those involved.
