Arson in the school of Nicosia: Three Teenagers Arrested
In Nicosia, the police have arrested three minors, suspecting them of setting fire to a school.
As reported by the press service of the Cyprus Police, a report of a fire at an educational institution was received by emergency services on Saturday after midnight. The police and firefighters arrived at the scene, successfully extinguishing the fire. Several classrooms were damaged as a result of the incident.
During the subsequent investigation, the police determined that several windows of the school had been broken by stones thrown into them. Shortly thereafter, three teenagers were noticed not far from the school. Upon seeing the police, they attempted to flee but were apprehended.
The next morning, the three minors were brought to the Nicosia District Court and subsequently arrested.
