Patient Falls from Hospital Window in Nicosia, Dies
Nicosia police are investigating a tragic incident at a private medical facility, where a 65-year-old patient fell from a hospital window and later died.
Police and fire department officers were called to the scene and are conducting an investigation.
According to Philenews, the 65-year-old Greek Cypriot man had been hospitalized for routine pathological reasons, with no significant health concerns. He was scheduled to be discharged today. However, at around 6:00 AM, hospital staff found him on the first-floor windowsill. Initial reports indicate he fell from a second-floor window. Despite the hospital staff's efforts, the man died from his injuries.
While police suspect the incident was an accident, the exact cause of death will be confirmed following an autopsy.
