In Nicosia, 13 illegal migrants were apprehended
During a police operation in Nicosia, 13 individuals residing in Cyprus unlawfully were detained. Authorities are preparing for the deportation of those arrested.
In a police statement, it was mentioned that the operation took place in the Nicosia area early Thursday morning, from 6:30 to 8:00. The operation involved immigration service personnel and representatives from the department overseeing the "green line."
"The police discovered and arrested 13 foreign nationals staying in Cyprus without permission. After the apprehension, procedures for their immediate repatriation have been activated," the statement said.
