In Paphos, a 16-year-old teenager was hospitalized after vaping cannabis near the school gates

In Paphos, a 16-year-old teenager ended up in the hospital after smoking an electronic cigarette (vape) containing a liquid that, according to the police, contained cannabis. The incident occurred during the day at the entrance of a secondary school: the boy felt unwell, experienced dizziness, nausea, and signs of fainting, and collapsed on the pavement near the school fence.
The teenager is originally from Syria, does not attend this school, and had come there to meet friends. It is believed that one of the students gave him the vape, from which he took 2–3 puffs. An ambulance was called to the scene, and the 16-year-old was taken to Paphos Hospital, where he received first aid. Authorities remind the public of the risks of using unknown substances, especially among teenagers.
