Man Wanted for Murder in Jordan Arrested in Paphos
A man wanted in Jordan in connection with a murder case has been arrested in Paphos. He had previously been sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison.
According to a police statement, the 41-year-old suspect was located and taken into custody on Wednesday evening. It was later confirmed that Jordanian authorities had issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with a murder committed in 2016.
The man has already appeared in court, where extradition proceedings have begun.
The next court hearing is scheduled for June 4. Until then, the suspect will remain in custody.
