In Paphos, they caught a vandal targeting government institutions at night.
The Paphos police have detained a suspect in a case of malicious damage to government institutions committed over the past few days. According to the investigation, a 29-year-old man is allegedly involved in nighttime attacks on three municipal social services.
According to the head of the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department, Michalis Nikolaou, significant damage was caused during non-working hours in the past few days, first to the offices of the Social Welfare Service and then to the Citizens' Aid Bureau and the District Labour Office.
According to the received complaints, acts of vandalism resulted in damage to office equipment in the Social Welfare Service and a glass window in the Citizens' Aid Bureau. The glass entrance door of the Labour Office was also damaged.
Following the investigation into all three incidents, the police identified the 29-year-old man who was declared wanted and subsequently arrested. The detained individual denies involvement in the attacks.
