An Elderly Woman Caught Stealing Alcohol from a Supermarket in Paphos
In Paphos, an elderly woman was arrested for stealing alcohol from a supermarket. The 76-year-old suspect filled a bag with alcohol and other items and attempted to leave without paying.
According to the police press office, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening at a city supermarket. The suspicious pensioner was first noticed by a store employee who saw her leaving with a full bag of groceries past the checkout. The vigilant employee stopped the woman and called the police.
Upon arrival, the police found several bottles of alcohol and some other items in the woman's bag.
The elderly woman was taken to the local police station, where she admitted her guilt. She was charged in writing.
