Romanian Family Attacked and Robbed by Hooded Men in Paphos
Police in Paphos are investigating a violent robbery that occurred on Monday evening in the Kato Paphos area. Two masked men broke into the apartment of a Romanian family, injured the couple, and stole money and jewelry.
According to police, the suspects knocked on the door of the apartment. When the residents opened it, the attackers forced their way in. One of the men was armed with a knife. Speaking in English, they demanded money. When the husband tried to resist, he was struck on the head. The wife was tied up.
The robbers fled the scene with approximately €1,000 in cash and several pieces of jewelry. The victims managed to call the police and were taken to Paphos General Hospital for treatment. They were later discharged.
The investigation is ongoing.
