A mobile hazardous waste collection point will open in Paralimni
The Municipality of Paralimni has announced that it will host a mobile unit for the collection of hazardous household waste. The point will be located at the municipal parking lot for two days – on Thursday and Friday.
The unit will operate from 10:00 to 13:00. Citizens will be able to dispose of small household appliances and electronic devices, pesticides, fertilizers, insecticides, lubricants, and motor oils. Also accepted are cleaning agents, inks and toners for printers, paints and varnishes, solvents, pharmaceutical products, and batteries.
Information about hazardous waste, their sorting, and proper disposal methods will be available here.
In the municipality's statement, it is emphasized that dumping trash outside the mobile unit and during non-working hours is strictly prohibited.
The initiative is part of a project for the separate collection and management of hazardous household waste, funded by Norwegian funds and implemented by the Department of Environment in collaboration with the Nicosia-based development company Anel.
