Sculptures by Local Artists to Be Installed in Larnaca’s Mesoyios Park
The newly opened Mesoyios Artists’ Park in Larnaca is set to become home to three new sculptures created by Cypriot artists. The installations are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
A special selection committee—comprising representatives from the Larnaca Municipality and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism—has chosen three standout pieces: “Vele al Vento” by Katerina Stavrou, “The Balloon” by Andreas Kallis, and “Faces” by Androulla Angelides Antoniadou.
While the sculptures are scheduled to be finished by the end of November, the exact spots where they will be placed in the park have yet to be finalized. That decision will be made in collaboration with a dedicated planning team.
Opened just last year, Mesoyios Artists’ Park is already a welcome addition to Larnaca’s cultural landscape. It’s located in the coastal Skala district, a historically Turkish Cypriot area of the city.
