Construction of a Multifunctional Park Begins in Ayia Napa
On Monday, January 27, construction officially began on a new Multifunctional Park in Ayia Napa. This public space is set to transform the area, bringing a fresh and modern look to the popular resort town.
According to a statement from the municipality, the project is designed to enhance the quality of life for residents, breathe new life into the urban environment, and provide a safe and inviting space for leisure and relaxation.
The park will be located near the center of Ayia Napa, in an abandoned area between Agia Mavri and Gianni Ritsou streets, which will also undergo significant redevelopment as part of the project.
Once completed, the Multifunctional Park will include a picnic area, a children's playground, an artificial lake, lush gardens, and a mosaic exhibition, creating a vibrant and versatile space for all ages to enjoy.
The project is part of the Thalia 2021–2027 Cohesion Policy Program and is co-financed by the European Union.
With an estimated budget of €4.2 million, construction is expected to take 16 months to complete.
