Weekly Recycling Collection Begins in Geroskipou Area
The Municipality of Geroskipou has announced the launch of a weekly collection of recyclable materials directly from residents' homes.
The program covers the following areas:
- Geroskipou and Koloni — every Tuesday morning,
- Konia — every Friday morning.
Municipal services will collect PMD waste (plastic, metal, and beverage packaging) as well as paper directly from residents' doorsteps.
The municipality urges residents to place bags or containers with recyclable materials outside their homes the evening before or early on the morning of collection to ensure timely pickup.
Authorities emphasize that resident participation is vital for the development of the recycling system, environmental protection, and improving the quality of life.
In the future, the municipality plans to expand the program to other areas, including Timi, Agia Marinouda, and Aceleia.
